Summer is Here – HCG Diet Barbecuing Tips
When it starts getting warmer outside and you’re preparing for a pre-vacation round of HCG, remember that your outdoor grill is a great source of convenience and flavor for your food. You can grill just about everything on the VLCD.
Here are some helpful hints to get the most from your grill on the HCG Diet:
- A great way to add even more flavor to your food is to marinate your protein portions before grilling them. Our salad dressings and sauces are a great option to use as a marinade. We even have HCG Diet-safe BBQ Sauce! Or, you can make your own safe marinade by mixing up some vinegar, water, stevia, and HCG Diet-safe spices.
- Don’t move your protein for at least a minute after putting it on the grill to keep it from sticking to the grate.
- For any vegetables you don’t want to put directly on the grate, wrap them in tin foil and put them on the grill with your protein. It’s so fast and easy. Plus, cleanup is a cinch!
- For a smokier flavor for your grilled foods, you can use wood chips or cook your protein on a wood plank.
- The grill can be not just a flavorful choice, but an efficient one, too. With the extra space a grill provides, you can cook a whole week’s worth of protein and veggies. This way you don’t have to grill every day to enjoy grilled foods.
